Falls are not “just something that happens when you get older”. Although the risk of falling increases with age, they are not inevitable. With physiotherapy you can decrease your risks of falling and also reduce the complications from falls. Physiotherapy can include strengthening, balance retraining, gait re-education and confidence building.

Other things you can do to help yourself are; having a regular eye check, looking after your feet and a review of your medications by your doctor.
