Yoga Therapy

Yoga has been shown to be helpful in many different health conditions and in rehabilitation and recovery from injury and illness. As a Physiotherapist and Yoga teacher Lin has a unique ability to combine her knowledge and skills.

In Yoga Therapy the ancient philosophies and Yoga teachings are combined with neuroscience and modern research into mind, physiology, biomechanics and anatomy. This gives a deep, holistic practice which can help on a physical, emotional and psychological level with health and wellbeing.

There is a perception that to practice Yoga you have to be flexible/young/strong- in general that certain physical abilities are required to start practising. Lin knows this to be untrue. Yoga Therapy (and indeed Yoga) is available to all, no matter what age, size, mobility or physical ability. Asana (the postures) are adapted to allow the core components or essence to be explored and experienced.

Working with Lin you will together create and explore a practice that meets you where you’re at and as you are. Yoga Therapy sessions are individual or in small classes (Yoga for health) to enable a individualised practice which meets your specific needs.Sessions will be based around yoga postures (asanas), meditation and breath work.
