Neuro Physiotherapy

I am a specialist in neurological Physiotherapy and also have extensive experience working with older people, in falls prevention and with persistent pain.

I know that by treating a person as a whole, the optimum outcome be gained and so Physiotherapy sessions will focus on the physical aspects of rehabilitation but will also encompass the impact on your general wellbeing and quality of life.

Your initial session will be an assessment, this will look at your physical abilities as well as your aims and goals and your current daily activities. Following this a personalised treatment plan is devised and we will discuss your goals; including how long it is expected to take to reach them.

Subsequent sessions will follow the treatment plan with regular updates to ensure that you are always receiving the optimal treatment. The frequency of these follow up sessions may be anything from a couple of times a week to once every few months depending on your needs and goals.

There are many different ways to know that you are getting the results you want including; by achieving your set goals, the use of clinical measures, using video or photos to show changes, because family or friends notice a difference, because certain movements or activities become easier, because you have more energy.

You will always be provided with exercises or management tools to be able to continue your therapy outside of the sessions. This is an essential part of any effective rehabilitation programme.

All Physiotherapists must be registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) and most Physiotherapists will also be members of the CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapists- the professional body for Physiotherapists). Lin is registered with both professional bodies.

  • "I can highly recommend Lin Leong. In my opinion she is one of the best physiotherapists I have come across. My husband is receiving regular input for more than a year now and his condition has clearly improved. Lin has also swiftly helped me with acute back problems. Lin is extremely knowledgeable and up to date with the most recent developments in her field of expertise. She applies this knowledge holistically and in a highly individualized way . Physiotherapy with Lin is a shared partnership. She is a calm, kind and friendly person and a great communicator with just the right sense of humour. We feel very lucky to have found her."
